The local ladies finally cornered Kristine and insisted that she share the techniques she uses to be such a beautiful tango dancer. \”Creative activity could be described as a type of learning process where the teacher and the student are located in the same individual.\” ~Arthur Koestler~ Argentine Tango is one of the most popular dances in the country because there are no competitions. Besides teaching Argentine Tango group classes and private tango lessons, Rusty organizes milongas, visiting Instructor workshops and he organizes the annual Tucson Tango Festival. Founders of the Annual Tucson Tango Festival Joanne, friends call her Jo, was introduced to and fell in love with Argentine Tango in early 2005 taking lessons with Rusty. Mara Carlson started teaching tango in Tucson over twenty years ago. She is currently teaching a class at the UA Recreation Center and teaches privates.
